Partner of the Houston, Texas based intellectual property law firm of Goldstein, Faucett & Prebeg. Mr. Prebeg has tried patent and copyright cases and numerous product liability and personal injury cases in his career. He has concentrated his practice to representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial and intellectual property cases, including patent infringement litigation. Mr. Prebeg is one of the 11 patent litigation lawyers of Goldstein, Faucett & Prebeg, whose practice focuses primarily on contingency fee patent litigation seeking the recovery of patent infringement damages for his clients. While focusing on plaintiffs' contingent fee litigation in the intellectual property area, Mr. Prebeg also represents major corporations in infringement litigation.
Mr. Prebeg is an aggressive and experienced trial lawyer with an engineering, construction, and manufacturing background. He worked as an automotive engineer for auto, truck, and trailer manufacturers throughout the United States. As a consultant to the automotive industry, he developed control systems for vehicle engines and transmissions, and he designed, analyzed, or tested component parts and systems for vehicles ranging from small passenger cars to 70 ton trailers designed to carry military tanks. He has extensive experience in evaluating and testing vehicles to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and to industry and military standards. The Society of Automotive Engineers recognized Matthew with distinction for his service as a member of the SAE Truck & Bus Safety Dynamics Subcommittee. He has authored works that are published in the areas of vehicle dynamics, control systems, and computer modeling of mechanical systems.
